Job summary

Marmion is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Data Analytics team, delivering custom dashboards for clients by connecting BigQuery and Google Sheets, and building scalable data models for decision making.

You will work across marketing, sales, e-commerce, inventory and operations, using Power BI to create insightful reports and visuals that enable businesses to act on data.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building Power BI dashboards for clients.
• Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query).
• Experience with data modelling and DAX for KPIs and time-based metrics.

Responsibilities

• Define dashboard goals, metrics, and client requirements with account managers.
• Design, build, and maintain white-labelled Power BI reports with user-friendly UX.
• Integrate data from marketing platforms, SQL databases, and Excel files.
• Develop scalable data models and use DAX for KPIs and cross-functional reports.
• Manage Power BI workspaces, apps, and sharing, including Row-Level Security.
• Present dashboards to clients, explain insights, and refine reports based on feedback.
• Troubleshoot data issues, monitor refreshes, and ensure data accuracy.

We're searching for a talented Data Analyst to join our client's established Data Analytics team and support the design and delivery of custom dashboards for clients; working with data across marketing, sales, e-commerce, inventory, and operations - connecting sources such as BigQuery and Google Sheets, building scalable data models, and creating intuitive, insight-driven dashboards that support business decision-making

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Client Requirements & Scoping:Work with clients and account managers to define goals, key metrics, and dashboard requirements.
• Custom Power BI Development:Design, build, and maintain white-labelled Power BI reports tailored to client needs, with intuitive UX for non-technical users.
• Diverse Data Integration:Extract and transform data from a range of client sources, including marketing platforms, SQL databases, and Excel files.
• Data Modelling & DAX:Build scalable data models in Power BI and use advanced DAX to create KPIs, time-based metrics, and cross-functional reports.
• External Sharing & Security:Manage Power BI workspaces, apps, and sharing, including Row-Level Security to protect client data.
• Client Presentation & Support:Present dashboards to clients, explain insights, answer questions, and refine reports based on feedback.
• Data Quality Assurance:Troubleshoot data issues, monitor refreshes, and ensure the accuracy of client reporting.

Skills & Experience:

• Please note that we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates
• Previous experience as a Data & Insights Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar is essential.
• Experience working in a Marketing Agency or Consultancy, or an internal role working with eCommerce data.
• Power BI Desktop and Service would be highly beneficial, similar technologies/systems experience is essential.
• Professional experience creating reports and dashboards, using Power Query, working with data models, and applying DAX to produce useful business insights.
• Confident communicating with both internal and external stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and joining data from various relational databases.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and Power Query.
• Great attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once, pivot between different client requests, and make sense of unstructured client data.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses and knowledge of Python or R would be desirable.
