Job Description

The Leakage Data Analyst is responsible for the analysis of company assets, the interrogation of company flows & pressures, and the production of daily, weekly, and monthly reports in line with functional procedures and audit requirements. It will incorporate an in-depth analysis of information, production of statistics, and report generation for Leakage Services to facilitate the achievement of leakage targets, KPIs, water balances, and regulatory reporting. NI Water, ranked in the top 10 of Northern Ireland’s best 100 companies, delivers approximately 605 million liters of clean, safe drinking water to 900,000 households and businesses across Northern Ireland daily. We also collect approximately 373 million liters of wastewater per day from around 736,000 households and organizations connected to the sewerage system, transferring it to treatment facilities for safe disposal.

About the role:

  • £30,634 per annum
  • Location: Ballykeel Office, 188 Larne Road, Ballymena (hybrid after 3 months, 50/50)
  • Monday - Friday
  • 37 hours per week
  • Duration: Temporary for 9 - 12 months (maternity cover)
  • Hours: Full-time

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely Leakage Services information to comply with functional KPI’s and Regulatory Standards and to contribute to the monitoring, analysis, and input of data to facilitate Regulatory and NI Water Leakage Reporting.
  • Manage all Leakage Data Management Unit (DMU) flow and pressure data logging equipment.
  • Configure loggers and set up assets, including data transfer assurance from logger to NI Water’s telemetry system and through to Netbase.
  • Manage, install, maintain, and troubleshoot loggers within the network, liaising with logger suppliers, NIW IT, and Telemetry contacts.
  • Manage workstreams of all DMU Technicians related to network flows and pressures.
  • Manage Continuous Logger User (CLU) and consumption analysis.
  • Manage and control stock for meter pulse units, leads, connectors, and sundries.

Criteria:

  • Have a relevant 3rd Level qualification in science, engineering, and/or mathematics (or a similar discipline with significant mathematical content).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in managing, analyzing, and controlling business data to identify problems and produce solutions.
  • Experience working within a team to produce results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Power BI.
  • Technical knowledge, skills, and experience across corporate data systems such as Leakage Management software, GIS, Mobile Work Management, customer or asset datasets.
