Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Data Analyst to join its Data & Digital team in the UK, helping organisations turn data into meaningful insights that drive operational and strategic decisions across government, defence and regulated environments.

You'll gather, cleanse and transform data, build dashboards with Power BI/Tableau, and apply analytics to identify trends and opportunities, working with diverse stakeholders in an agile delivery setting.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills including joins, filtering, aggregation and data validation techniques.
• Experience creating dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau or equivalent visualisation tools.
• Advanced Excel skills for analysis, reporting and data manipulation.
• Experience cleansing, reconciling and validating data from multiple sources.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, root causes and actionable insights.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Gather, cleanse, validate and transform data from multiple sources to support reporting and analysis requirements.
• Create, develop and maintain reports, dashboards and visualisations using Power BI, Tableau or equivalent tools.
• Write efficient SQL queries to extract, manipulate, validate and analyse data from structured and semi-structured sources.
• Support the creation and maintenance of performance measures, KPIs and management information reporting.
• Document analytical methodologies, assumptions, calculations, definitions and data sources.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
