Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a Data Analyst for a 6-month contract with a local authority in Harlow. The role centers on data analysis, data quality, and project coordination to support the Council’s MRI housing asset management system improvements.

You will work with the Lead Analyst to cleanse data, validate accuracy, monitor progress, and report milestones, risks, and dependencies. Proficiency in Excel and Power BI is required, with a preference for public sector experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in data analysis, reporting, validation, and data quality improvement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for data handling and reporting.
• Ability to identify data quality issues and drive corrective actions.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders across teams.
• Experience managing or coordinating multiple workstreams or projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver priority data cleansing and improvement work for MRI housing asset data.
• Validate, cleanse, reconcile, and improve housing and asset management data.
• Analyse data and produce reports, summaries, and insights for decision making.
• Track milestones, risks, actions, dependencies, and deliverables across projects.
• Prepare and present progress updates to stakeholders and leads.
• Use Excel and Power BI to manipulate, validate, and present data effectively.
• Coordinate with Housing, Asset Management, IT, data, and other services.
• Maintain data accuracy, confidentiality, and information governance.
