There has never been a more important moment to join our credit risk team. The energy sector is going through a period of once-in-a-generation volatility. Businesses and households are facing higher energy prices than they ever have before. For these reasons, we are looking to add to our credit risk team with this new role. This team is central to supporting customers struggling with their bills. We are unique because we combine several key skills and mindsets:

  • Data analytics as our core skillset, with everyone in the team being highly proficient in this area
  • A strong understanding of customer needs and business priorities
  • Close collaboration with the tech team to solve customer problems efficiently at scale
  • Partnership with operations teams who communicate directly with customers
What you'll do
  • Manage a small team of analysts
  • Take ownership of managing customers facing payment difficulties
  • Conduct deep dive investigations into data to surface insights for decision making
  • Enhance our reporting suite using the latest BI tools and technology stack
  • Develop empathetic approaches towards vulnerable customers
  • Create strategies to identify and prevent fraud (first-party and third-party)
  • Develop machine learning models and policies for sophisticated decision-making
  • Proactively identify new opportunities
  • Challenge the status quo regarding KPIs, objectives, and strategy
  • Communicate complex data concepts clearly and confidently
  • Build strong relationships with Data Science, Technology, Finance, Collections, Operations, and other stakeholders
What you'll need
  • Excellent SQL skills
  • Proficiency with Python data science stack (pandas, NumPy, Jupyter notebooks, Plotly/matplotlib, etc.)
  • A passion for solving problems using data
  • Management experience
Bonus skills
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, or equivalent)
  • Experience with DBT
  • 2-5 years experience in consumer credit risk or collections within financial services, utilities, or telecommunications
