Imagine a world where every small business has the power to thrive. That's the world we're building at iwoca. Small businesses aren't just statistics - they're the heartbeat of our communities, the character of our high streets, and the engine of our economy. Since 2012, we've revolutionised how these businesses access finance, turning what was once a lengthy, frustrating process into something remarkable: funding that's fast, flexible, and actually works for modern businesses.

Our impact speaks for itself: we've provided billions in funding to over 150,000 businesses across Europe, making us one of the continent's leading fintech innovators. But we're just getting started. Our mission? To empower one million businesses with the financial tools they deserve.

We combine cutting-edge technology and data science with genuine human understanding to make finance feel less like a barrier and more like a superpower. Whether it's managing cash flow or seizing unexpected opportunities, we ensure businesses get the funds they need - often within minutes.

While we've already achieved significant milestones, our ambition to grow and solve even more challenges for small businesses drives us forward. To continue growing, we want to be more than just a lender, we want to be a partner. Creditpass is one of our new ventures, designed to bring clarity, and enable businesses to understand, monitor, and improve their credit position. Many small business owners currently lack insight into their credit score, its drivers, or how to elevate it.

Creditpass is poised to change that, giving them the power to build a stronger financial future and allowing us to be their essential partner in securing funding for growth and expansion. This initiative requires close collaboration with senior management and is at the forefront of iwoca's future strategic positioning.

Your mission

As the Data Analyst for the Creditpass team, you will be instrumental in helping shape the product and commercial strategy. You'll be the expert on the creditpass data, supporting the rest of the team to make smarter, data-led decisions.

This role involves close collaboration with a small and experienced team of engineers, designers, product managers, and marketers, who operate as a startup within iwoca. Working directly for the New Ventures Lead, you'll be supported to develop rapidly, enabling you to take on more responsibility and accelerate your career.

The responsibilities

  1. Perform in-depth data exploration to uncover hidden patterns, address specific inquiries, and derive new knowledge that drives strategic decisions.
  2. Analyze customer data and identify opportunities to improve customer engagement and retention.
  3. Define and develop new product functionalities, translating business requirements and user feedback into concrete solutions.
  4. Track performance of KPIs and develop new metrics to track improvements to customer outcomes.
  5. Determine and optimize cross-selling opportunities within our product ecosystem.

The requirements

  1. Strong analytical skills with a structured approach to problem-solving - you're curious, methodical, and comfortable getting to the root of a messy or ambiguous issue.
  2. A clear communicator - you can take complex data and translate it into simple, actionable insights for colleagues in product, marketing, or leadership.
  3. Self-starting and adaptable - able to work independently in a fast-paced environment where problems change frequently.
  4. Academic or practical experience in a quantitative field, such as Economics, Finance, Product, Maths, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  5. Previous experience working on a fast-paced project: internship, placement, or permanent role involving data analysis in tech, consulting, finance, or related fields - salary is flexible based on experience.
  6. An interest in small businesses and their challenges, such as funding, growth, or cash flow management.
