Job summary

Gravity Media is seeking a Data Analyst to turn Group data into useful reporting and insights, focusing on S&OP, asset management and resource planning. You will write SQL, build Power BI dashboards and work with multiple teams to understand questions and deliver practical analyses.

The role emphasises data quality, governance, and clear documentation, with collaboration across the business to improve data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant degree or equivalent practical experience with at least two years in a data analyst/BI analyst role.
• Strong SQL knowledge and ability to query, combine and manipulate data.
• Experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports, with data modelling understanding.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, formulas and handling large datasets.
• Good understanding of databases and data structures, and ability to work with IT/data owners.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain SQL queries to prepare data from Group systems for analysis and reporting.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to show asset utilisation, demand, availability and performance.
• Analyse asset, resource and demand planning data to identify trends, capacity issues and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Head of Assets & Data and cross-team stakeholders to turn questions into actionable analyses.
• Check and reconcile data before reporting, investigate anomalies and resolve data issues with data owners.
• Support data governance through clear definitions, standards and quality checks.
