We are looking for a talented and forward-thinking Data Analyst to join our Strategy and Performance team. This is a pivotal role where you will support the development of our business intelligence capabilities.

What you’ll do

  1. Take a leading role in enhancing the Council’s data and analytical capabilities.
  2. Design, build, and maintain dynamic Power BI dashboards to support evidence-based decision making and oversight.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather, analyze, and interpret data.
  4. Deliver high-quality performance and impact reports that highlight key trends and strategic insights.
  5. Support the development and implementation of a robust data strategy and maturity framework.

What we’re looking for

  1. Proven experience in a data analyst role, ideally within the public sector.
  2. Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and data modelling.
  3. Experience with SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools (e.g., Python or R).
  4. Ability to communicate complex data and insights clearly to a range of audiences.
  5. A collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  6. Be part of a forward-looking council committed to innovation and digital transformation.

The position is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract.
