Job description

Pro currently has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join its Insurance Services team as a Data Analyst within the Digital Services area.

The job holder will be involved in building data mapping processes for various bordereaux (both Risk and Claims) using data ingestion and analysis tools such as Intrali, Quantemplate, or Matillion. The project centers on the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources into data warehouses and data lakes.

This is an ideal role for an aspiring Data Architect in the Insurance Industry.

Pro operates a hybrid working policy, with time split between home and our Gloucester or Liverpool office. This vacancy is also suitable for an individual who prefers to work fully remotely, as we support home working.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Data collection and processing: gathering data from various sources, pre-processing, and preparing datasets for analysis.
  • Creation and management of Risk and Claims data maps (models) and reconciliation of results.
  • Processing tasks accurately and efficiently, aligned with client requirements.
  • Identifying or correcting anomalies within the Bordereau, raising queries, and making amendments as necessary.
  • Interacting professionally with clients via phone, Teams, or email.
  • Maintaining and updating workflows and ad hoc documentation (process flows).
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong technical skills, including logical and methodical thinking, with the ability to prioritize workload independently to meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft packages such as Excel or PowerBI is desirable.
  • Database querying and/or development skills (e.g., SQL, R, Python, VBA, PowerBI) are desirable.
  • Understanding of insurance and reinsurance principles is a plus.
  • A conscientious, positive, and enthusiastic approach to work is essential.
