The role

As a Data Analyst, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Be part of a forward-thinking Production Capability team that champions data-driven decision-making to shape strategic outcomes and accelerate business growth. Day-to-day, you’ll apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to explore large datasets, uncover patterns, and translate findings into clear, actionable insights that support business decision-making. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders, maintain data quality, and contribute to developing tools and dashboards that drive operational improvement and strategic direction.

  • Conduct data analysis and reporting to uncover trends and support strategic decisions
  • Manage and maintain secure, compliant data storage aligned with policies and future needs
  • Lead data-driven projects, integrating new technologies to enhance processes
  • Utilise Excel and Microsoft Office with agility, adapting quickly to evolving tools
  • Ensure strict data accuracy and compliance with protection regulations

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Essential experience of the Data Analyst

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a comparable data-focused role
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data functions and visualisation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong adaptability to new tech
  • Skilled in handling and analysing large datasets effectively
  • Understanding of data compliance regulations, such as GDPR

Qualifications for the Data Analyst

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
