Sage Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, United Kingdom
Job Description
Our IT mission is to transform the way technology is delivered to customers and colleagues across the world with the emphasis on simplicity, mobility, and efficiency.
Delivery of robust data solutions will be central to enabling our colleagues to focus more on our customers and increasing revenue by providing innovative and deeper insights into our customers, as well as the ability to use these insights to personalise the customer journey across channels. This is a great opportunity to work as a Data Analyst in a dynamic IT Data team responsible for the delivery of robust Data solutions linking our core applications and building the foundations of our centralised data platform.
The Data Analyst will be responsible for engaging with colleagues across Sage to capture, analyse and document data flow requirements and understanding business processes in relation to the data and supporting systems that underpin these processes. Working closely with the Development Manager and the Data Delivery team, the Data Analyst will also ensure requirements are understood and translated into the relevant technical specifications for Data Development backlog stories.
What's in it for you?
This is a very exciting time in our team as we move towards modern tech and practice. The Data Analyst will play a key role in shaping how things are done and the team believe there is no solution that can't be challenged. You will operate in a supportive environment where every voice is heard!
Your First 90 Days
You will start out by working close with the Data Development Manager to understand how Sage operates and the challenges that the Data Analyst will look to solve, you will shadow the team to familiarise yourself with the department and stakeholders to get an understanding of the current workload. At around your second month you will have gained knowledge of how the team works and the systems that you will be working with which will ideally lead to the Data Analyst considering changes based on your own observations, you will also have been introduced to all major stakeholders that you will interact with. At 90 days you will be in a position to start implementing changes based on your knowledge and will contribute to upcoming sprints.
This is a Hybrid role with three days in our Newcastle Upon Tyne.
