The Firm

Established in 2020, KP Law (previously Keller Postman) is a specialist litigation boutique, focussing on collective redress.

The firm has around 100 employees across offices in London, Liverpool, Birmingham, and Manchester, representing over 200,000 individual clients across a range of cases in areas such as product liability, competition, worker rights, data breach and privacy and financial services.

The firm’s ethos is to combine the best legal talent with a strong operational and technological platform to enable its clients to pursue cases that could not otherwise be brought against large corporates as a result of their wrongdoing. Uniquely, KP Law is owned and fully financed by a recognised UK litigation funder (Asertis). The Role

As a Data Analyst / Data Ops Analyst at KP Law, you will play a pivotal role in building reports and providing valuable insights and analysis to internal and external customers. Working in a small team, you will collaborate with Data Engineers and BI Developers to enable data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

You will be based in our Manchester Office, up to 3x a week.

Role Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst / Data Ops Analyst, your role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards that translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that support business objectives
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and develop appropriate reporting solutions
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across all reports and outputs
  • Perform regular data cleansing and validation to maintain data integrity
  • Develop and implement data visualization best practices to effectively communicate findings
  • Support the implementation of data governance policies and procedures
  • Automate routine reporting processes to improve efficiency
  • Provide analytical support for key business initiatives and decision-making
  • Document methodologies, processes, and results to ensure knowledge sharing
  • Liaise with third parties, providing relevant data insights to support project delivery

Person Specification

  • Bachelor's degree in in a STEM field or previous experience in data analysis or business intelligence
  • Proficiency in data visualization Power BI
  • Experience with SQL and data manipulation
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex data in simple terms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for advanced data analysis
  • Experience in presenting findings to stakeholders at various levels

Preferred but None Essential Skills:

  • Knowledge of Python
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and data platforms such as Databricks
  • Understanding of data modelling concepts
  • Familiarity with legal industry data and metrics
  • Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
