Job description

As a Data Analyst, you can make a powerful contribution by expanding our analytical capacity to transform and optimise our pricing strategies and residual value risk management, especially in a fast-moving and evolving marketplace.

Reporting to the Analytics Lead, you will utilize a wide range of technologies and data science techniques to generate valuable insights that will enhance our decision-making processes, serve our customers, and ensure the sustainability of our schemes.

The company has heavily invested in its data strategy, presenting an exciting opportunity for the right individual to help grow and establish a new Analytics function. After completing a large-scale project to upgrade our systems and analytical tools, you will play a key role in leveraging these systems to derive insights and support data-driven decisions, fostering your personal growth and career development.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Translating business problems into requirements, projects, and solutions.
  2. Leveraging advanced analytics to optimise business processes and decision-making.
  3. Delivering insights through reports and data visualisations.
  4. Providing proactive, data-driven recommendations to key stakeholders for decision-making.

About You

You should have:

  • An analytical mindset, with a passion for understanding how and why things work.
  • Keen critical thinking skills and creativity, with the ability to view problems from unique perspectives.
  • A strong interest in data and analytics, coupled with a desire for continuous learning and self-development.
  • Commercial awareness and a keen interest in business operations.

Core requirements:

  • A numerate degree demonstrating strong mathematical and statistical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate SQL and Python skills, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in model building, data visualisation, and/or process automation.
  • Desirable: experience with Oracle tools (OBIEE/OAS), Tableau, and Snowflake.
