What is the opportunity?

It's an exciting time at Bank of Ireland UK. We are currently migrating and updating our data solution as part of our strategic objective to drive the business towards a data-led culture through analytics. You will work alongside our Data team to develop and maintain a robust data platform, creating impactful reports with clear insights backed by quality data.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking area of the business committed to making a positive difference for colleagues and customers.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

In This Role, You Will

  • Ensure data quality and integrity from ingestion through to reporting.
  • Review and migrate existing reports to improved versions on updated tooling.
  • Collaborate with business users to identify and fulfill demand for new reporting, including regulatory compliance.
  • Gather requirements and engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Execute and maintain User Acceptance Testing of data and reporting.
  • Create well-structured data documentation for both technical and front-end users.
  • Monitor and escalate change requests, working with leadership to assess business risk and impact before implementation.
  • Embrace agile practices and proactively improve data processes.

What will make you stand out?

We seek a candidate with proven experience as a Data Analyst comfortable with Teradata and Tableau. Strong SQL skills, experience handling large data volumes from multiple sources, and query optimization are essential. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, presentation, and communication skills are required to articulate insights clearly to stakeholders. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and translate business needs into clear reports and visualizations are key.

Experience with any of the following is a plus but not necessary:

  • Financial sector experience
  • SAS

More about the team

The Data, Digital and Strategic Reporting (DDAS) team aims to enable a customer-focused, digitally optimized, data-led bank. The team provides vital data, digital, and analytics services embedded in customer insights across BOI UK.

This role can be performed anywhere in the UK, with primary offices in Belfast, London, or Bristol. Travel for in-person collaboration will be required, with exact frequency to be agreed with the manager.
