Job summary

NexGen Cloud is seeking a Data Analyst to join our fast-growing GPU cloud and AI infrastructure business in a data-driven role. You’ll centralise revenue, occupancy, billing and pipeline data from diverse sources into a single source of truth for leadership and operations.

You'll build pipelines, own dashboards in Databricks and Power BI, and work cross-functionally to reconcile data and automate processes. Join us to shape analytics in a high-growth cloud company.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support commission calculations and provide pipeline health metrics to sales leadership.
• Model pricing options and deal economics to inform investment decisions.
• Validate figures before sharing with leadership or other teams.
• Assist wider team in using BI tools and data confidently.

THE ROLE: Data Analyst

NexGen Cloud is moving to a data-driven way of running the business. Right now, revenue, occupancy, billing and pipeline data live across data warehouses, business systems and APIs, and the numbers don't always agree. We're building out our Strategic Finance team so that leadership, sales and operations can rely on one set of figures and act on them daily. This role suits someone who enjoys the technical craft of data and wants to learn the commercial side of the AI compute market. We'll teach you that context. When a number looks wrong, you'll dig until you find why, and you'll come back with a fix as well as the problem.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build and maintain the pipelines that bring data from across the business into Databricks and Power BI, and automate the manual steps along the way


• Own the daily revenue and occupancy reporting that leadership uses to track how the GPU fleet is performing


• Check that what we bill matches what customers actually used, covering power draw, utilisation, asset registers and credits


• Support commission calculations and give sales leadership a clear view of pipeline health, conversion and churn


• Model pricing options and deal economics so investment decisions are grounded in real numbers


• Validate every figure before it reaches leadership or anyone outside the company


• Help the wider team work confidently with BI tools and data

About You

We care more about how you think and work than a perfect CV. You'll likely bring a combination of the following:

Essential

• Hands-on experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, including data extraction, integration or automation projects


• Strong SQL and Excel skills


• Solid Power BI experience, including reconciling figures when different sources disagree


• Hands-on use of a CRM (HubSpot or similar), and of AI tools to speed up analysis and build work


• A root-cause mindset: you find the underlying cause rather than reporting the symptom, and you bring a proposed solution with it

Nice To Have

• Experience with Databricks


• Exposure to billing, revenue assurance or commission processes, ideally in a cloud, SaaS or usage-based business


• Some experience with financial modelling or FP&A work


• Time spent in a high-growth company where data processes were still being built
