Job summary

KDR Talent Solutions is seeking a Junior Data Analyst in Birmingham with hybrid working arrangements. The role focuses on building BI solutions, data modelling and SQL querying to support reporting and analytics across the business.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years data experience, solid SQL and exposure to Power BI or similar tools, plus a degree or training in a relevant field. The role offers ongoing training and a pathway to grow in BI, analytics and AI-enabled projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with data in a commercial setting.
• Good working knowledge of SQL and BI/reporting tools.
• Exposure to Power BI or another BI tool is desirable.
• Understanding of data analysis, reporting and visualization concepts.
• Able to communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
• A relevant degree or training in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards.
• Assist with creating and maintaining reporting datasets and data models.
• Write SQL queries to extract, transform and analyse data.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into analytical outputs.
• Tell stories with data and provide actionable insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Assist the team in exploring AI and automation opportunities.

As part of this investment, they are looking to appoint a Junior Data Analyst to join their growing data and technology function.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards.
