SF Technology Partners is seeking an Operational Performance Analyst to improve performance across a UK-wide supplier network. You will dive into data, identify trends and driver factors, and deliver practical recommendations that enhance operations.
The role emphasizes turning analysis into actions, with strong Excel and Power BI skills, and the ability to communicate insights across technical and non-technical audiences. Hybrid work with office presence in Birmingham is expected.
Birmingham | Hybrid (3 days office) | £50,000 – £53,000
I'm working with an established business that's looking for an Operational Performance Analyst to help improve performance across a large UK-wide supplier network.
This is a role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail of data, understanding why things are happening and, importantly, making recommendations that lead to improvements.
The business works with a network of approximately 450 service providers across the UK. There's already a good foundation of performance reporting in place, but they're looking for someone who can take that information further, identify trends, challenge underperformance and help the business make better operational decisions.
You'll ideally come from a data, operational performance or business analysis background, with experience using data to identify problems and influence business decisions.
Experience in facilities management, supplier performance or other operationally focused environments would be useful, but isn't essential.
You don't need to be a specialist SQL developer or an expert in complex data engineering. The emphasis is on using the available data effectively rather than building sophisticated data platforms.
This isn't a position where you'll simply produce reports and pass them on.
You'll have the opportunity to investigate real operational problems, understand how a substantial supplier network performs and make recommendations that directly influence how the business operates.
You'll also work closely with stakeholders who genuinely want to use data to improve performance, with established reporting tools and internal technical support already available.
Salary: Circa £50,000, with some flexibility depending on experience.
Location: Birmingham, near the NEC, with a typical office pattern of Tuesday to Thursday.
