Red Badger is seeking a Tech Lead to join our Data & AI practice in Leeds. This delivery-focused role involves shaping complex technical solutions during discovery and leading a team of data engineers to production.

Based in Leeds with a national remit, you’ll collaborate with the Director, Data & AI, and contribute to pre-sales. You will spend roughly half your time hands-on with data engineers and the other half supporting Delivery, Product and Software Engineering teams, guiding technical

Qualifications

• Experience delivering data/AI platforms at enterprise scale.
• Proven ability to lead data engineering teams and manage complex stakeholder landscapes.
• Strong hands-on data engineering skills with a design-for-operations mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own relationships with client tech stakeholders and shape technical delivery.
• Lead and mentor data engineers to deliver production-grade solutions.
• Partner on pre-sales activities to add technical credibility and win client trust.
• Balance hands-on coding with strategic guidance and team management.
