Job summary

Trentside Medical Group is seeking a Data Administrator for our friendly, busy GP Surgery.

We are looking for a well-motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our administrative team. Key responsibilities include processing incoming patient data into medical records, handling patient recalls, assisting with patient registrations, and managing administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations using our clinical system (SystmOne).

The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Skills in organizing and prioritizing workload, managing multiple tasks, and a willingness to learn are essential. Main duties of the job
  1. Manage all incoming mail efficiently, review, code as per clinical guidelines, and take necessary actions.
  2. Ensure accurate storage of all patient correspondence in the electronic record system with proper coding.
  3. Perform administrative tasks as assigned, ensuring they meet role-specific requirements.
  4. Follow practice protocols for timely and accurate processing of patient records.
  5. Alert clinicians or staff to important information requiring follow-up or recall.
  6. Support workflow as directed by team members and managers, contributing to practice efficiency.
  7. Participate in annual appraisals to identify development needs and enhance skills.
  8. Provide general administrative support as needed.
  9. Assist in processing patient and contractor emails.
  10. Support team members during staff absences to ensure seamless service.
  11. Undertake training to stay current with best practices and role requirements.
