Job Description
Experian's Data Office is seeking a Data Acquisition Lead to expand our Verification Services, a key growth area for the UK&I business, projected to contribute over $80m in new revenue between FY26-FY30.
Verification Services rely heavily on data, making this role mission-critical for achieving our annual revenue targets.
Over FY26-FY30, the Verifications Team aims to establish data connections to over 14 million UK PAYE employees, increasing the data hit rate from approximately 25% to 70%, while maintaining data integrity above 98%.
This is a hybrid position based in Nottingham or London, reporting to the Head of Data Acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Develop data acquisition strategies to support product growth, manage relationships with key data partners, source and integrate data, and provide performance insights. Oversee contract negotiations and explore new partnership opportunities.
- Data Sourcing & Acquisition: Identify strategic data sources via partnerships, public datasets, APIs, and collaborations; engage with partners to align data delivery with goals.
- Partner Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with data partners, vendors, and industry collaborators; resolve issues and expand partnerships to enhance value across Experian.
- Commercial Management: Collaborate with Global Procurement on data agreements, pricing, and terms; ensure performance aligns with contractual and commercial expectations.
- Data Integration & Collaboration: Lead efforts to integrate data into centralized systems, ensuring accuracy, currency, and alignment with needs.
- Insights & Reporting: Develop reports on data acquisition performance, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities, demonstrating partnership value.
- Contract, Cost & Compliance Management: Negotiate contracts, ensure compliance with privacy regulations, document agreements, and manage data delivery within budget.
- Data Strategy: Contribute to defining strategies for data growth and diversification to support financial performance and competitive advantage.
Qualifications
Skills Needed: Strategy, innovation, partnership building, communication, influence.
Experience:
- Experience in data-driven solutions, partnerships, or business development.
- Senior-level external partnership management.
- Developing and leading acquisition strategies.
- Managing solutions throughout partner lifecycle, metrics development, and review processes.
Desirable:
- Experience with HR, Payroll, or Finance partners.
- Background in data acquisition roles.
- Knowledge of SAP or Workday is a plus.
- Experience sourcing and delivering data into live environments.
