Job summary
Expleo Group in Edinburgh, UK is seeking a Defensive Aids Systems (DAS) Radar Engineer to help design and integrate radar-based sensing for next-generation combat aircraft survivability. You will work on system requirements, architecture, verification, and interface definition across engineering teams.
The role emphasizes radar/RF technologies, EW principles, and model-based system engineering, with opportunities for growth and exposure to advanced simulation and testing in a national defence
Qualifications
- Bachelor-like degree in a STEM field or significant demonstrable experience without formal qualification
- Experience delivering systems engineering in aerospace/defence environments preferred
- Knowledge of radar, RF, and EW concepts advantageous
Responsibilities
- Support development of DAS and survivability system requirements.
- Contribute to systems architecture and interface definition activities.
- Assist integration of radar sensing within survivability solutions.
- Produce engineering artefacts and technical documentation.
- Support technical trade studies and performance assessments.
- Participate in integration, test and verification activities.
- Contribute to modelling, simulation and synthetic environment activities.
- Support design reviews and customer engagements.
- Collaborate with radar, mission systems and EW teams.
- Support continuous improvement and engineering excellence initiatives
