Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking a Quantity Surveyor in Dartford to join a growing commercial team with a strong workload across the Southern Region. You will take ownership of projects from procurement to final account and drive commercial performance.

This role offers £55,000-£80,000 + package, with realistic progression towards Senior QS and Commercial Management, and opportunities to lead client and subcontractor relationships on multiple schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor in main contractor or sub-contractor on £1m-£15m projects.
• Strong commercial management including CVRs, cost reporting, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Contract knowledge with JCT and/or NEC forms of contract.
• Procurement and subcontract management experience, especially from subcontractor background.
• Commutable to Dartford or based there.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of projects across the Southern Region (£1m-£15m).
• Manage CVRs, valuations, variations, forecasting and financial reporting from procurement through to final account.
• Lead client and subcontractor relationships, including commercial meetings, negotiations and contract administration.
• Manage procurement and commercial packages, identifying cost-saving opportunities, risks and potential improvements.
• Support multiple projects across Dartford and the wider Southern Region, typically two to four schemes.
