The Governing Body of Danygraig Primary wish to appoint 2 Temporary Teaching Assistants for 27.5 hours per week, with the possibility of an additional 2.5-hour Lunchtime Supervisor role.

Danygraig Primary School is a place where all children are given every opportunity to fulfil their potential in a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment. This is an exciting time to join our committed and ambitious team.

These will be temporary appointments in the first instance, to commence as soon as possible, initially until March 2026.

This post requires someone who:

  1. Ideally has experience of working in a primary school or childcare setting or has relevant experience of working with young people.
  2. Holds relevant qualifications, eg. GCSEs, or NVQ or other relevant qualifications and experience.
  3. Has excellent Literacy, Numeracy and Digital skills.
  4. Is passionate about working with children to support them to achieve their potential.
  5. Has excellent communication skills and is able to nurture, support, challenge and inspire our children.
  6. Is able to support children with their learning in our mainstream Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 classes and possibly occasionally in our Specialist Teaching Facility (STF) classes.
  7. Is able to support the planning and delivery of high quality, authentic and purposeful learning experiences, both indoors and outdoors.
  8. Is able to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs and those for whom English is an Additional Language.
  9. Works individually and as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
  10. Supports the life of the school and the wider community.
