Job summary

Aspire People seeks an FE Dance Tutor for immediate start in Cardiff. The role involves delivering Level 3 Dance lessons (Tap and Jazz) to peers, with 14 teaching hours per week plus admin time. Ongoing assignment while a fixed-term search is conducted, with competitive hourly pay.

Ideal candidates hold a PGCE or equivalent and FE teaching qualification, with DBS within three years and right to work in the UK. Training and onboarding support are provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Dance lessons to Level 3 students (Tap and Jazz).

Are you an experienced Dance Tutor with a passion for inspiring the next generation of performers? We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic professional to join a successful Further Education setting, delivering high-quality Dance provision to Level 3 second-year learners. This is an excellent opportunity for a tutor with both industry and teaching experience to work with motivated learners and support them in developing their practical performance skills and technical expertise.

The Role

• Deliver engaging and effective Dance lessons to Level 3 students
• Teach and assess practical dance disciplines, including Tap and Jazz
• Support learners in developing technical, creative and performance skills
• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality learning activities
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Contribute to course administration and learner support activities

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Relevant industry experience within Dance or Performing Arts
• A recognised PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Tap and Jazz Dance
• Previous experience teaching young people or adults within Further Education, post-16 or vocational settings
• Strong classroom and learner management skills
• A commitment to helping students achieve their full potential

Essential Requirements

• Enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last three years
• Willingness to register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) Further Education workforce
• Right to work in the UK
