Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking a Qualified Dance Teacher for a secondary school in Rochdale. Immediate start to Christmas with potential extension to 2027. You will plan and deliver Dance lessons across KS3-KS5, focusing on the Pearson BTEC Performing Arts (Dance) specification.

The role requires a recognised Dance qualification, QTS, and experience teaching Dance in a secondary setting. A current DBS is needed or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• A recognised Dance qualification.
• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential.
• Proven experience teaching Dance in a secondary school.
• Experience delivering the Pearson BTEC Performing Arts Dance spec.
• DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Qualified Dance Teacher

Location: Rochdale
Start Date: Immediate start to Christmas with possible extension to 2027.
Pay: 160 - 200 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, long-term Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3pm.

Requirements:

• Proven experience teaching Dance within a secondary school, specifically delivering the Pearson BTEC Performing Arts Dance Specification.


• A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
