Job summary

Leeds Conservatoire is seeking a Dance Coordinator to lead, coordinate and deliver exceptional dance training within the School of Drama, supporting BA and MA programmes. The role coordinates Dance Skills modules and contributes to future course development, working with a team of coordinators for a high-quality student experience.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and experience of dance training across styles for Musical Theatre and Actor training.
• Significant professional performance and choreographic experience.
• Experience in HE sector managing HE courses and delivering higher education teaching.
• Collaborative approach with teaching artists and colleagues to deliver multidisciplinary training.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for the department’s strategic priorities.
• Manage programme modules, timetabling, assessments, material selection and resources.
• Deliver teaching across agreed curriculum areas.
• Coordinate student groups, lead weekly programme meetings and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support students and departmental initiatives.
