Job summary

Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service is seeking a Dance and Disability Programme Assistant to support Unify Junior & Youth SEND dance sessions. The role involves delivering a positive experience for participants and assisting with supervision during breaks.

The ideal candidate should have experience with children with SEND, enjoy creative activities, and be supportive. The position is part-time, on Tuesdays from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, for 12 weeks, with potential for extension.

• Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Ability to create a positive and engaging environment for participants.
• Supportive and approachable demeanor to help participants feel comfortable.

Responsibilities

Dance and Disability Programme Assistant

Introduction:

The Hub are currently looking for a Dance and Disability Programme Assistant to support their Unify Junior & Youth SEND dance sessions.

These sessions are led by a member of the Hub team, and they are seeking someone to assist in delivering a positive and engaging experience for participants.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working with children with SEND
• Enjoy movement and creative activities
• Be supportive, approachable, and able to help participants feel comfortable and connected within the session

The role will also include supporting supervision during toilet breaks, as well as assisting with sign-in and sign-out procedures.

• On: Tuesdays (term time only)
• From: 5:30pm to 7:30pm
• At: Terry O’Toole Theatre, North Hykeham
• Start date: As soon as possible

Pay:

• £40 per week for a self-employed individual
• Alternatively, we can arrange payment to an organisation (e.g. a school, college, or care setting providing a staff member)

This opportunity will initially run for 12 weeks, with the hope of continuing beyond this period.
