Job description

BDS are currently recruiting for a Damp, Mould and Disrepair Surveyor to work for a housing organisation across the Hastings area.

The main purpose of the role will be too to report to our asset manager to provide technical advice, guidance and support to residents. You will also undertake investigations and inspections, and complete various surveys as required to support the delivery of all damp & mould associated repairs.

Other duties will include but are not limited too;

  • Will be responsible for overseeing individual caseloads consisting of live disrepair claims (including damp and associated repairs), party wall awards, repair diagnostic cases, referrals from repairs teams / health and safety and environmental teams.
  • Carry out site inspections and investigations, as necessary to produce detailed specifications of works using the national schedule of rates and composite values. Prepare estimates, feasibility studies, plans, sketches and drawings as may be necessary.
  • Ensuring the completion of all appropriate data collection and updating electronic records as needed.
  • Responsible to report any repairs that are identified and required to ensure we always maintain our homes or communal areas to the highest standard. This includes the logging and monitoring of repairs in line with our repairs policies.
  • Be proficient in the correct diagnosis of building failures and to this end be competent in the use of devices, aids and instruments for the purpose of making assessments and diagnoses.
  • Working hours; Mon – Fri 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Pay rate; 23.96ph PAYE/ 32.94ph Umbrella

Must be a driver with full UK driving licence and vehicle
