The role:
We’re looking for a proactive and customer focused Damp & Mould Team Leader to oversee all aspects of damp and mould case management, from customer contact and complaint resolution to scheduling and quality assurance. This role ensures the delivery of a high-quality, consistent service, leading a team to meet performance targets while creating a positive and productive work environment.
We offer hybrid working but there is an expectation that you attend the office twice a week, and additionally as needed.

Although not an exhaustive list, key responsibilities include:
Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to the team, setting clear objectives and creating a positive, high-performing work environment.Oversee the end-to-end management of damp and mould cases, ensuring timely scheduling of inspections and repairs, and maintaining accurate records across all communication channels.Act as a key point of contact for escalated complaints, ensuring empathetic, responsive service and driving a culture of customer-first thinking within the team.Monitor team performance through regular audits, ensure compliance with internal processes and external regulations, and support the delivery of KPIs and service outcomes.Ensure accurate data entry and reporting, including contributing to performance reporting for senior leadership.Identify service improvement opportunities.About You:At Brighter Places, we value and nurture talent, welcoming both experienced professionals and those with the right attitude and determination who are looking for get their foot on the ladder. For this role we are looking for individuals who have:
Proven leadership experience in damp and mould or repairs services, ideally within the housing sector.
Strong knowledge of scheduling, resource planning, and repairs management.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, especially in complex or sensitive situations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence using data and systems to inform decisions.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset.
A calm, resilient, and proactive approach, able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
The successful candidate must hold a valid driver’s license and/or the ability to travel independently to visit customers and properties. Access to pool cars subject to availability.
