Job summary

A housing repairs team in Bedfordshire is seeking an experienced Damp and Mould Operative to work on a long-term social housing contract. We are currently seeking a skilled Damp and Mould Operative to join our dedicated housing repairs team on a long-term social housing contract in Bedfordshire.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out damp and mould treatments in occupied residential properties as part of both planned and reactive maintenance programmes.
  • Identify and diagnose the root causes of damp, condensation, and mould, recommending and implementing effective remedial solutions.
  • Apply specialist treatments, including anti-fungal washes, mould-resistant paints, and protective coatings.
  • Perform minor repair works such as plastering, painting, and decorating to restore treated areas to a high standard.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, in line with health and safety regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Keep accurate records of completed work, updating job sheets and reporting any issues or progress to supervisors promptly.
