Dairy R&D Manager

UK Wide - Hybrid

Opportunity for a Dairy R&D Manager to take on a high profile, influential role within a progressive dairy business.

As Dairy R&D specialist you’ll have a diverse role working on industry-leading innovation projects.

It’s a great time to join this already successful company as it embarks on exciting further growth plans. You’ll use your dairy expertise to guide the business and shape the future innovation pipeline.

You’ll report into the Group Head of Development and work alongside a team of NPD Managers / NPD Technologists.

This broad R&D Manager role encompasses the delivery of NPD, EPD, and Continuous Improvement projects. You’ll be providing technical support and guidance to customers and the wider team and be scoping out the future R&D Innovation pipeline.

You’ll be building on an impressive product portfolio seen on all the supermarket shelves; developing for leading global brands and retailer’s own label ranges.

You’ll identify opportunities to develop the product portfolio into new areas/customers using your knowledge of global trends in ingredient development and processing improvements. This could be using existing manufacturing capabilities or developing business cases for investment in new production facilities.

To succeed as R&D Manager here, you’ll need to bring a solid understanding of the principles of dairy formulation and processing. You’ll have a Food Science background with experience in dairy product development. A curious mind set and ability to learn and explore new areas.

The role offers hybrid working and involves travel between sites and customers. It would be ideal if you were based in the Midlands/Central England region, although not essential.
