Job summary

Arla is recruiting a Transport Team Leader (Transport Shift Manager) at our Westbury Inbound Depot to oversee the day-to-day milk collection operations from our farmer-owners.

You will lead a shift of drivers, manage performance, training, absence, and discipline, and work with Verilocation, Opitool and SAP to plan routes with a view to delivering safe, compliant and efficient operations. This role requires a proactive people leader willing to drive performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a drivers team in fast-paced operations.
• Willingness to obtain Transport Manager CPC if not already qualified.
• Proactive, forward-thinking leader under tight deadlines.
• People person with ability to develop others.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day milk collection operations and driver group.
• Plan routes and ensure safety, compliance and quality.
• Coach and develop drivers, manage performance and attendance.
• Act as first contact for farmers and resolve issues.
