Job Description

We are recruiting a Dairy Farm Manager for a progressive and organically certified dairy and arable enterprise, home to Guernsey cows. The farm spans acres of grassland and 90 acres of arable land. The manager will lead all operational aspects with autonomy, working closely with a small team including a herdsman and tractor driver, ensuring high standards in livestock and land management.

The Role
  • Farm & Land Management: Oversee cropping, arable operations, grassland management, manure application, hedge trimming, fencing, and field maintenance.
  • Herd & Breeding Management: Responsible for herd health, performance, rationing, breeding programmes (AI experience preferred), and animal welfare.
  • Youngstock Management: Oversee health and performance of calves, plan herd replacements, assist with calf feeding as needed.
