Tasks

Are you a qualified finance professional with a passion for leadership, accuracy, and operational excellence? Daimler Truck UK is looking for a confident, strategic, and hands-on Accounting Team Leader to oversee our Trucks & Buses accounting function and outsourced finance operations.

This is a Full-Time position.

Salary Circa £60k, depending on experience, Plus benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Trucks Accounting team, including setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and developing team members.
  • Oversee monthly financial reporting under IFRS, including GAAP adjustments and inter-company reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to Daimler AG.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Accenture Shared Services, driving performance across P2P, O2C, and R2R functions.
  • Support financial planning and forecasting, including balance sheet planning and financial adjustments.
  • Lead accounting aspects of local and HQ projects, offering strategic insights for decision-making.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and manage the external audit process.
  • Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting in collaboration with the Tax Manager and external stakeholders.
  • Manage monthly cash flow forecasting and address variances with DAG.
Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with a strong understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in accounting, including leadership roles.
  • Experience in both professional accounting firms and multinational corporations.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau). (Essential)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial matters to diverse audiences.
  • A detail-focused, analytical mindset with a clear ability to prioritise and problem-solve under pressure.
