Job summary

Teach Now in London is seeking a Daily Supply Teacher to cover across KS1/KS2 in Merton from September 2026. This part‑time, temporary role offers flexible days and a competitive daily rate.

You will deliver pre‑planned lessons, maintain routines and support pupils throughout the day, while representing Teach Now professionally on every placement. QTS and DBS are required or in Update Service.

Qualifications

  • QTS required for KS1/KS2 teaching across primary.
  • Recent UK primary teaching experience.
  • Confidence teaching across KS1 and KS2.

Daily Supply Teacher

Location: Merton, London | Salary: £150 – £170 per day | Contract: Part‑time, temporary | Start Date: 1 September 2026 | Phase: Primary – KS1/KS2

We are recruiting reliable and adaptable Daily Supply Teachers to work across a range of welcoming primary schools in Merton from September 2026. This flexible role is ideal for qualified teachers who want to choose when they work while continuing to enjoy the rewards of classroom teaching.

The Role

As a Daily Supply Teacher, you will provide short‑term cover across KS1 and KS2. You will usually deliver pre‑planned lessons, manage the classroom confidently and ensure pupils remain focused and supported throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons across KS1 and/or KS2.
  • Maintain clear routines and positive behaviour expectations.
  • Keep pupils engaged, safe and on task throughout the day.
  • Adapt quickly to different year groups and school environments.

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Flexible, reliable and professional approach.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
