MS Dynamics 365 F&O Finance Lead Consultant

The Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) business unit at KPMG is looking for a Dynamics 365F&O Lead Finance Consultant with experience in all phases of large-scale enterprise Dynamics 365F&O projects. The ideal candidate will possess a hands-on approach and proven experience in end-to-end implementations, combined with a strong understanding of Dynamics 365F&O processes and procedures, and practical knowledge of interfacing and integration with Dynamics products. A demonstrable history of consultancy experience is essential, as this role involves continuous interaction with clients, leading onshore consultants, and working alongside both onshore and offshore development teams. This role will also require presales activities focused on Dynamics F&O functionality and the wider Microsoft platform, contributing to proposal development and business development efforts. The role includes leading and mentoring junior staff, and is central to KPMG MBS’s delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions. It offers a dynamic opportunity to join a rapidly developing business area within a global firm.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of gathering and documenting functional requirements and conducting gap/fit analysis for the workstream.
• Leading module workstream of full end-to-end D365 F&O implementations across all project phases.
• Ownership of the solution for a D365 Finance module, including design decisions and solution documentation.
• Solving complex problems with creative solutions.
• Delivering end-user training to clients and colleagues as applicable.
• Providing on-site support during delivery and go-live phases.
• Advising on scope (creep) and change control processes.
• Demonstrating upselling ability and understanding of additional capabilities.
• Staying informed about product roadmap and future releases of D365FO, especially in the supply chain area.
• Participating in responding to RFPs and RFQs, and other pre-sales activities.
• Contributing to practice development and capability enhancement.
• Leading and mentoring team members.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience with Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (D365F&O) or AX2012, with at least 3 end-to-end implementations.
• Extensive consulting experience and good presentation skills.
• Ability to lead meetings and workshops, and confidently present to C-Suite audiences.
• Hands-on experience with D365FO modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash and Bank Management, Budgeting, Project Management and Accounting, Fixed Assets, Management Reporter, Financial Consolidation, and Elimination.
• Experience with interfacing and integration of D365F&O.
• Practical experience with LCS and Azure DevOps is beneficial.
• Strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Visio is a plus).
• Knowledge of Power Platform capabilities.
• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) is preferred.
• Experience responding to RFPs and RFQs is essential.
• Experience mentoring junior consultants is essential.
