Job summary

A leading company is seeking a seasoned Infrastructure Architect to oversee the infrastructure workstream of a complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 deployment. The candidate will guide the architectural lifecycle, from requirements through to transition, working closely with various business units and vendors. Extensive D365 experience and strong communication skills are essential, with a hybrid working model based in the Gloucestershire/Somerset/Worcestershire area.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an Infrastructure Architect on large-scale D365 programmes.
• Strong track record delivering architecture in multi-entity, complex environments.
• Broad technical knowledge: hybrid cloud, identity (Azure AD), security, integrations.

Job Description:

We’re supporting a major business transformation and are looking for a seasoned Infrastructure Architect to lead the end-to-end infrastructure workstream of a complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) deployment across multiple business units.

This is not just a design role, we need someone who can take ownership across the full architectural lifecycle, from discovery through to cutover and transition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the infrastructure architecture lifecycle: discovery, requirements, HLD/LLD, build oversight, test, and transition
• Produce high-quality architecture documentation across environments, networks, security, identity, and DR
• Engage with business units, internal IT, and external vendors to define and validate infrastructure needs
• Support governance, planning, and design assurance throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Guide infrastructure teams during implementation to ensure delivery aligns to the intended design
• Contribute to testing and go-live readiness; support knowledge transfer to operational teams
• Extensive experience as an Infrastructure Architect on large-scale D365 programmes
• Strong track record delivering architecture in multi-entity, complex environments
• Broad technical knowledge: hybrid cloud, identity (Azure AD), security, integrations, performance, scalability
• Comfortable working across multiple business units and delivery partners
• Excellent communication and documentation skills; confident in planning and governance conversations
