Contract Opportunity: Infrastructure Architect – D365 Implementation

Hybrid (2-3 days/week in Gloucestershire / Somerset/ Worcestershire area) | ️ 6 Months Initially | Outside IR35 | Full-Lifecycle Role

We’re supporting a major business transformation and are looking for a seasoned Infrastructure Architect to lead the end-to-end infrastructure workstream of a complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) deployment across multiple business units.

This is not just a design role, we need someone who can take ownership across the full architectural lifecycle, from discovery through to cutover and transition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the infrastructure architecture lifecycle: discovery, requirements, HLD/LLD, build oversight, test, and transition
• Produce high-quality architecture documentation across environments, networks, security, , and DR
• Engage with business units, internal IT, and external vendors to define and validate infrastructure needs
• Support governance, planning, and design assurance throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Guide infrastructure teams during implementation to ensure delivery aligns to the intended design
• Contribute to testing and go-live readiness; support knowledge transfer to operational teams

Ideal Experience:

• Extensive experience as an Infrastructure Architect on large-scale D365 programmes
• Strong track record delivering architecture in multi-entity, complex environments
• Broad technical knowledge: hybrid cloud, (Azure AD), security, integrations, performance, scalability
• Comfortable working across multiple business units and delivery partners
• Excellent communication and documentation skills; confident in planning and governance conversations

Start: ASAP

Location: Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in Gloucestershire / Somerset/ Worcestershire area

Duration: 6 months initially
