Job Title: Senior D365 F&O Solution Architect

Location: Kent (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Travel: Occasional travel to London and Europe (expenses reimbursed)

Overview

A contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Solution Architect to lead complex, enterprise-level implementations across the D365 F&O/FSCM platform. This is a hybrid role based in Kent, requiring occasional travel and 3 days per week on site.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics, a strong background in manufacturing and supply chain modules, and the ability to guide delivery teams through full project lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end D365 F&O/FSCM solutions across multiple workstreams, ensuring functional integrity and technical excellence.
• Lead teams of functional and technical consultants to deliver scalable and supportable solutions.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather business requirements, conduct fit-gap analysis, and provide hands-on configuration.
• Oversee the solution design for modules including Finance, Inventory & Warehouse, Procurement, Production, Master Planning, and Engineering Change Management.
• Configure advanced manufacturing processes including formulas, BOMs, costing sheets and contract manufacturing integration.
• Support go-live, UAT, training, and hypercare, drawing from experience in resolving live issues and ensuring adoption.
• Liaise with third-party logistics and contract manufacturing stakeholders to align integration requirements.
• Collaborate with technical teams on interoperability between D365 and tools such as Azure, SharePoint, Power BI, and Office 365.

Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of experience with D365 FO/FSCM/AX.
• Proven track record in 3–4 full-cycle D365 F&O implementations.
• Leadership of cross-functional delivery teams (6–10 people).
• Functional expertise across key modules: Finance, SCM, Production Control, Planning Optimisation.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, costing models, and supply chain operations.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience with offshore and nearshore delivery models.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
