A leading engineering consultancy seeks a D&R Simulation Engineer to support vehicle simulation and modeling within the D&R team. This role involves running CAE analyses, improving modeling techniques, and engaging with key stakeholders to ensure durability and robustness in automotive systems. Candidates should possess a degree in mechanical engineering and extensive experience with LS-Dyna and CAE methodologies. This contract role offers competitive rates inside IR35 and requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual passionate about engineering.

Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire
Rate: 29.18ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or 21.80ph PAYE
Employment Type: Contract (Initial PO 31.3.26)
Hours: Standard 40 Hours Per Week
Virtual Engineering supports vehicle or system programmes with concept simulation, modelling expertise and tools from research through to the delivery phase to JOB1. Within the Durability and Robustness (D&R) Team, we look at the effects of extreme impacts onto the vehicle and ensure that it is engineered to handle those.
In this role, you will support the CAE Design Verification Programme activities within D&R and have an opportunity to develop modelling techniques for more efficient and accurate simulations.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Desirable:
Experience in development of efficiency tools using JavaScript.
Competent in the use of CAD software, such as 3DExperience (or similar).
