Oaklands Surgery on Canvey Island, Essex is seeking a Practice Nurse to join our forward-thinking Medical Student Training Practice. The role offers flexible patterns (full-time, part-time) within a supportive Primary Healthcare team and provides training to develop in practice nursing duties, including cytology, wound care, and immunisations.

Applicants must hold current UK registration as an RN and have experience within a nursing team with a track record across a broad patient base.

Qualifications

• Current UK professional registration is required.
• Experience of working within a nursing team.
• Experience of working with a wide range of patients.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care to patients as part of the Primary Healthcare Team.
• Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs.
• Cytology / vaginal swabs, wound care, and venepuncture as trained.
• Travel vaccinations and immunisations, including routine immunisations.
• ECGs and health checks with training as necessary.
• Long term condition reviews and support for GPs with minor procedures.
