Job summary
A regional health service provider seeks a professional to deliver health care assessments and treatment interventions for children and young people. Candidates should be experienced in trauma-informed care and possess strong clinical decision-making skills. Work will involve collaboration with families to ensure comprehensive care and safeguarding considerations. The position is based in Cheltenham, United Kingdom.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children and young people (0-18yrs).
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and Adverse Child Experience (ACES).
- Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and clinical decision making.
Responsibilities
- Provide health care assessment and treatment interventions for children.
- Utilise a holistic approach in care planning.
- Work collaboratively with families and identify safeguarding needs.
- Will work under the close supervision of a clinical supervisor as well as be supported by their designated line manager
- Provide a range of health care based assessment and treatment interventions for children and young people (0-18yrs) and their families/carers within the designated team. Provision will be in accordance to the application of a range of profession specific models of clinical practice. This will include:
- Providing a holistic clinical/health assessment and delivery intervention programmes for children and young people with a range of needs. Care planning will utilise a range of treatments, skills and options for use in both the home, community and school setting.
- Personalised and coproduction approach will be offered when working with families, parents and carers
- This includes consideration and identification of safeguarding needs and taking further action where required.
- Clinical care will take a trauma informed approach with knowledge and understanding of Adverse Child Experience (ACES) that may be impacting on presenting needs.
- Undertaking comprehensive assessment/formulation of children and young people (including diagnostic where required), using investigative, analytical and effective clinical reasoning skills. Demonstrating profession based core skills and competencies including effective clinical decision making and the ability to articulate rationale behind clinical decision making.
