Job summary
Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to lead a Tier 4 CYPMHS service for 12–18-year-olds with eating disorders at Rhodes Wood Hospital, Watford. You will deliver expert clinical leadership, conduct admission assessments, and create individualised treatment plans aligned with safeguarding and governance standards.
You will supervise trainees, participate in the on-call rota (1 in 6), collaborate with GPs and commissioners, and contribute to CPD and research to support service
Qualifications
- Registered on the GMC Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Experience working in CYPMHS with eating disorders.
Responsibilities
- Review referrals and admission appropriateness.
- Conduct admission assessments and management planning.
- Lead risk assessments and oversee physical health reviews.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision and reflective practice.
- Supervise trainees and non-training grade doctors.
- Participate in CYPMHS on-call rota (1 in 6).
- Maintain governance, accurate records, safeguarding compliance.
