Job summary
Rhodes Wood Hospital is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist for our Tier 4 CYPMHS, focusing on children and adolescents aged 12 to 18 with eating disorders. You will review referrals, conduct admission assessments, and develop effective management plans in a supportive, evidence-based setting.
You will provide leadership, supervision, and reflective practice for the team, supervise trainees, and participate in the on-call rota.
Qualifications
- Registered on the GMC Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a licence to practise.
- Experience of CYPMHS Eating Disorders.
Responsibilities
- Review referrals and determine admission appropriateness.
- Conduct admission assessments and ensure effective management plans.
- Lead risk assessments and oversee physical health evaluations.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and reflective practice for key workers.
- Supervise non-training grade doctors and psychiatric trainees.
- Participate in CYPMHS on-call rota and cross-cover arrangements during leave.
- Uphold governance standards and maintain accurate records.
- Foster collaboration with GPs, CYPMHS teams, commissioners, and stakeholders.
