Job description

A Vacancy at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within one of the Cheshire Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) based in Cheshire East and Cheshire West. We are pleased to be part of a national programme aimed at increasing mental health provision in selected schools within an identified area.

Demand for these positions is expected to be high, so the application window may close early. Therefore, prompt submissions highlighting your qualities, experience, and knowledge are encouraged to stand out from other applicants.

The interview process will be held in Crewe and will include a young person's panel and a traditional interview.

We are offering a two-year training contract for 2 Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioners. The training in the first year includes a Post Graduate Diploma based on a national curriculum. Successful trainees will be regraded to NHS band 5 for a clinical year to consolidate learning and skills.

Typically, trainees will attend university two days a week, with the remaining days in service, some of which may be remote or online. In-service days will involve placements in schools and colleges in East or West Cheshire. Candidates should consider travel requirements due to the location of placements.
