Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is offering a permanent position for a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner starting September 2025. This role involves training while working in local schools, providing essential mental health support to students. Successful candidates will complete a Post Graduate Diploma and transition to a qualified Band 5 Educational Mental Health Practitioner role. We are excited to be part of a national programme aimed at increasing mental health provision in Wirral schools. We are offering a vacancy for one Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) in Wave 13, starting September 2025.
Trainees will undertake a 12-month Post Graduate Diploma based on a national curriculum, with university attendance two days a week and in-service training three days a week, some of which may be remote.
This is a permanent contract contingent on successful course completion. Qualified practitioners will become Band 5 Educational Mental Health Practitioners.
