Job description

CHEDS is a Tier 4 CAMHS Specialist Eating Disorder Service that offers intensive inpatient, outpatient, and day patient provision. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated Band 5 mental health nurse with a specialist interest in working with young people with eating disorders who will be part of the new and exciting CHEDS Day Hospital team at Ancora House and will have a key role to play in assisting young people in their recovery.

The post holder will be required to develop and promote a therapeutic relationship with service users and will be key in the day-to-day running of the service and coordination within the MDT. The Day Hospital runs from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to join this team in providing the highest quality of care for our service users. This includes practical meal support and therapeutic group delivery. The individual must be able to demonstrate an understanding and application of the 6 Cs in practice: Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment.

What We Offer

All new starters will commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme date. P2C offers up to 3 weeks training to support you to meet the induction/initial training requirements of the role.
