CYP Public Health Nursery Nurse 0-11yrs

We are looking for two enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Nurses to work within our two dynamic Poole 0-19 Public Health Team's, as Public Health Nursery Nurses, working with children, families, and children 0-11 years.

You willwork within the Children Young Person Public Health (CYP PH) Service to support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and targeted interventions to children 0 to 11 and their families, as delegated by and under the supervision of the SCPHN/TC/ 0-19 CYP PH clinical Lead, whilst working closely with all members of the 0-19 PH team.

There are two post available:

Poole East position - 25.5hrs per week ideally over 3 days

Poole West Position 22.5hrs per week ideally over 3 days

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Main duties of the job

To support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme for children 0 to 11 and their families as delegated by and under the supervision of the SCPHN/TC, whilst working closely with all members of the 0-19 PH team.

To support the CYP PH team in promoting the health of the school age population and their families, by covering the ParentLine 5 - 19 texting service with colleagues for parents/carers of school age children for advice, support and signposting as well as with parents/carers following Requests for Support (School Nursing Referrals), in designated schools as delegated by and under the supervision of the SCPHN/TC.

To offer advice to parents and carers on the development, health and behaviour of their child discussing any concerns with the SCPHN/ TC and to refer to other services as directed and appropriate in line with policy.
