Job summary

Cranstoun Here4YOUth is seeking an enthusiastic professional to join the Sutton-based youth substance team. You will manage a caseload, deliver evidence-based interventions, and work across schools and community venues to engage young people where they feel most comfortable.

Working with a trauma-informed approach, you will assess needs, plan care, and partner with agencies to improve life chances for children and families affected by substance use.

Qualifications

• Experience using a trauma-informed approach with children and young people.
• Ability to engage with young people in schools, colleges and community settings.
• Experience delivering psychosocial interventions to children and young people.
• Ability to build resilience and support families affected by substance use.

Responsibilities

• Hold and manage a caseload of children and young people in Sutton.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to be part of our new children and young people’s substance team in Sutton. As part of the new Cranstoun Here4YOUth Team, you will provide a range of tailored interventions with young people depending upon their presenting drug of choice, complexity and need. You will also provide support andbuild resilience with children and young people whose parents or other family members use drugs or alcohol.

You will be responsible for holding and managing a case load of children & young people across the Borough of Sutton. This is an outreach role where you will be engaging with young people where they feel most comfortable including schools, colleges, other partner agencies and local community venues.

Working with a trauma informed approach, you will provide specialist assessments, care planning, and deliver evidence based psychosocial brief and structured interventions through one-to-one appointments, groups, and online. You will work closely with a range of partner agencies to support young people to achieve positive change whilst providing opportunities to improve their life chances for a brighter future.

As part of this role you will also be delivering talks, workshops and assemblies in local educational settings and raise awareness at community events on a range of substance related topics.
