Job summary

South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust is inviting applications for a CYP Psychological Practitioner Trainee (Infant & Early Years) as part of the NHSE-funded CYP Psychological Training Programmes. The post combines formal teaching at Anna Freud/UCL with a clinical caseload in the Under 5 CAMHS service, based around Wandsworth with travel to Anna Freud in Central London for teaching.

The programme runs for one year starting January 2027, with teaching and client-facing work,

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified psychotherapists and psychologists in delivering psychological interventions for infants, children and their parents or carers in Under 5 CAMHS services.
• Assist with information and self-help materials for service users under supervision.
• Undertake protocol-based psychological assessments using rating scales and structured interviews.
